Beginner Clubs

When it comes to beginner clubs, I always recommend beginners start off with a set of used clubs. There are so many different brands out there, and everyone has their own individual playing style, so until you’re convinced you’re going to stick with the game you should opt for a set of used clubs. No one wants to spend all sorts of money on a set of clubs, then denting or dinging them while learning to play, and then deciding a few months down the road that golf isn’t for you….
In terms of a specific brand to be on the lookout for, I have heard some great things about Cobra irons and woods. They are the same makers of Footjoy, Titleist, and Pinnacle, and they have what they call a ‘game improvement’ brand. They are designed for the beginner, and are much more forgiving then the clubs you see the pros playing with.
